We Now Meet Online!

Canberra Regional Meeting (Northside) took the decision a fortnight ago to hold its Meetings for Worship online via Zoom for the foreseeable future.

While the initiative has come from the Northside Meeting, our online Meetings are a resource for Quakers, no matter where they live.

And that’s just what is happening. We are welcoming Members and Attenders from all around Australia and the world to our Zoom Meetings for Worship.

How Do Online Meetings for Worship Work?

Our online Meetings for Worship are conducted in the same way as an in-person Meeting:

"They are based on silence – a silence of expectancy in which we seek to come nearer to the Spirit and each other as we share the stillness of the meeting. Participants are not expected to say or do anything other than join in this seeking. From time to time. Someone may feel compelled by the Spirit to speak and the silence will be broken. Such ministry, which has not been planned before worship begins, seeks to enrich the gathered worship.”  (From the CRM Website page, About Meetings for Worship.)
