Archived Yearly Meeting Planning Committee

NOTE:

The Committee was laid down at YM 2021

Due to restrictions in gathering brought on by Covid-19 restrictions, following Yearly Meeting 2021, it was agreed that Yearly Meeting would no longer be the responsibility of just one Regional Meeting to host the event. It was agreed that instead an Australia-wide Organising Committee would plan and present the Yearly Meeting Gathering, with assistance from Friends around Australia.

Unfortunately, the Committee's original web pages were not retained. Set out below is some of the information from them.

It's purpose was:

The Planning Committee makes all arrangements for accommodation, meals, rooms and other aspects of the venue for the Yearly Meeting. In addition, they arrange aspects of the program, including the children and JYF activities, Friendly School, Share and Tell sessions, a peace activity, arrival and departure arrangements, etc.

The Committee is supported by the Yearly Meeting Planning Support Committee which is an Australia-wide Committee that provides continuity from year to year.

Our Annual Meeting is held in a different State each year and the local Regional Meeting establishes a Planning Committee to arrange the event.
