We welcome your donations.

Your financial support is essential to continue our vital work. If you are a member or attender at one of our Meetings in Australia you can donate by contacting the clerk or treasurer, but anyone is welcome to donate in the way set out below if you wish.

Special Middle East Appeal

We have opened a special appeal for anybody who would like to support Palestinian Quakers in the Middle East.  All donations to this special appeal will go directly to the Ramallah and Brummana Quaker meetings, or be distributed as they direct.

Bequests

Bequests are an important source of income for carrying on the Society’s work.

If you want to give to Quakers Australia in your Will, the information you need is: 

  • The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Australia Incorporated (ABN 16 036 715 933)
  • PO Box 6063, O'Connor, ACT 2062, Australia
You can specify one or more of the Australia Yearly Meeting Funds listed below, or leave it open for us to allocate your bequest. 

You can also leave a bequest to one or more of our Regional Meetings (see the list here). In that case, please contact the relevant Regional Meeting Clerk for the correct name and address.

Other ways to give

  • Regional Meetings and some Meetings For Worship may have their own funds. Click on the links to find out how to contact the various meetings.
  • You may also contribute (and in some cases, apply to) the various Australia Yearly Meeting Funds (see the Fund List below).
  • You may also contribute to Quaker Service Australia.
     

Funds of Australia Yearly Meeting

  • The First Nations Peoples Concerns Fund

provides an opportunity for Friends and non-Friends who wish to give practical expression of their interest and/or concern about First Nations’ people and issues. To learn more about the work of the First Nations Peoples Concerns Committee and to contact the Committee about possible applications to the Fund, go here.

  • The Peace & Social Justice Fund 

provides financial support to individuals and committees to implement our concerns for peace and social justice. To learn more about the work of the Peace and Social Justice Committee and to contact the Committee about possible applications to the Fund go here.

  • The Earthcare Fund 

helps to contribute to a vision of a peaceful and sustainable Australia and envisage a better world for our children; one in which the Quaker Testimonies of Peace, Simplicity, Equality, Community, Integrity and Earthcare flourish. To learn more about the work of the Climate Emergency & Species Extinction Working Group, and to contact the Working Group about possible applications to the Fund go here.

  • The Thanksgiving Fund  

is directed primarily towards helping Friends to undertake activities on behalf of the Society and its concerns. To learn more about the work of the Thanksgiving Fund Committee, and to contact the Committee about possible applications to the Fund go here.

  • Meeting for Learning Fund

provides resources for learning and deepening our spiritual journeys, including the Meeting for Learning retreats.

  • The Friends in Stitches Fund 

assists with the Australian Quaker Narrative Embroidery Project, which has oversight for the creation, care and exhibition of hand-stitched panels depicting the history of Australian Quakers.
